The Village Voice 10th Annual Choice Eats Tasting Event will feature 50+ handpicked restaurants on Friday, May 19th at Metropolitan Pavilion.

Guests will sample the best dishes from restaurants reviewed and heralded in the Village Voice along with complimentary drinks. Our resident food critics have scoured New York’s culinary landscape and combined  their tastiest picks from their several years of unearthing the five boroughs’ best-kept secrets.

VIP and General Admission tickets will be available in February 2017.

Ten years ago we set out to do something very cool; to bring the NYC culinary community together under one roof for a day of savory sampling. With 47 restaurants partaking in the occasion, held at the illustrious and architecturally impish landmark Puck Building in SoHo, we knew we were off to a good start. That 2008 event included some Gotham faves: from the low-key Desi hotspot Haandi, to top Brooklyn ribs pick The Smoke Joint, to beloved Times Square Cuban sandwich spot Margon - a truly eclectic collection. The following year saw a seismic leap in scope, as the event shifted venues to the colossal 69th Armory on Lexington Avenue, a necessary step to accommodate the festival’s now 50+ restaurants. Fancy and highly sought after establishments brought Choice Eats to another level of tastiness. As the event has grown exponentially in size each year since its inception, so have our collective palates. Drawing a very diverse group of New Yorkers (and alimentary adventurous out-of-towners), the event has hosted over 300+ restaurants and cuisines from over 35 different countries, including Vietnamese, Italian, Uzbekistani, Brazilian, Cambodian, Russian, Tunisian, Greek, Cajun/Creole, Moroccan and tons more.

Fast forward to today: with over 50+ restaurants, we have added drinks, sweets, entertainment and more than you can bite off & chew, this internationally recognized tasting spectacular stands as the premiere food event for true foodies in New York City.

Only guests ages 21 and over admitted.
